Tests that show tumor or obstruction in the bile duct:

• ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography)
• PTCA (percutaneous transhepatic cholangiogram)
• Abdominal CT scan
• Abdominal ultrasound
• CT scan-directed biopsy
• Cytology

• Liver function tests
• Bilirubin
