Osteomyelitis
Symptoms

Pain in the bone
- Local swelling, redness, and warmth
-
Fever
- Nausea
- General discomfort, uneasiness, or ill feeling (malaise)
- Drainage of pus through the skin (in chronic osteomyelitis)
Signs and tests
A physical examination shows bone tenderness and possibly swelling and redness.
