Erythema toxicum neonatorum

The large red splotches typically disappear without any treatment or changes in skin care.

You can expect full clearing of the lesions within two weeks. This is one of several newborn baby rashes that clear completely by age 4 months (see also milia ) .

There are no complications.

Discuss the condition with your health care provider during a routine examination if you are concerned.
