• Reactions to medications
• Problems breathing

Risks for any surgery include:

• Bleeding
• Infection
• Intestinal leaks

Additional risks include:

• Bulging through the wound (incisional hernia)
• Narrowing (stricture) of the opening (stoma)
• Blockage (obstruction) of the intestine from scar tissue
