  • Lower gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding
  • Polyps (which can be removed through the colonoscope during the exam)
  • Tumor
  • Inflammatory bowel disease
  • Diverticulosis (abnormal pouches on the lining of the intestines)(particularly in older people)
