• Problems breathing

Risks for any surgery include:

• Bleeding  
• Infection

Risks specific to UKA include:

• Deep vein thrombosis
• Nerve and blood vessel damage
• Implant failure
• Reflex sympathetic dystrophy (rare)
• Fluid build-up in the knee joint
• Pain with kneeling
